I was a foreign student availing services at Hounslow Anytimefitness Membership # AHON27917 from September 2021 onwards. I cleared all my dues in July, 2022. However, their appointed agency AYOM is harassing me. I have sent mails to both Anytimefitness and AYOM. However they do not take any cognisance. Thank you : Rahul Gupta from India

I’ve been using AF for a year and a half just because I don’t have any other options. It’s the worst gym ever. The membership is £38 a month, however the gym lockers always have issues and they lock but you can’t unlock them. It’s happened 3 times now and I have to go back home sweaty, without spare clothes and without my keys. On top of that the place is always dusty. They have a cleaner but nobody does a deep clean of the place. Honestly, if you can go to another gym, do that!
A great gym and a very welcoming environment
A very friendly gym with a good cross-section of apparatus to suit all workout needs. The staff are really helpful and genuine, and are always on hand to give advice and encouragement. It's in a great, convenient location and easily accessible.

Terrible customer service argumentative and rude when discussing a complaint I emailed in, the manager in so many words called me a liar about the state of the unhygienic facilities and the constant plumber issues of the toilets and water dispenser, smells mouldy and thick in the air, no ventilation anywhere. The air condition isn't on to full capacity so makes it hard to not faint due to heat and having to travel back home to use the toilet because it is over flowed with feaces and toilet tissue. This gym use to be good but gone down hill a lot, complete waste of money and hasn't helped with my mental health when you try to improve yourself and you get treated like this and have to entertain the environment. Nobody wants to help you cancel subscription within the year even though it is your mental health and lose of money (fitting the criteria to cancel), your being forced to stay a member even when expressing your concerns, no help no compassion, absolutely terrible

The Staff in Exeter Anytime are…
The Staff in Exeter Anytime are amazing! They are so friendly and offer great advise. This is the best gym I have ever been to . I feel so comfortable there, it’s spacious , it has private changing rooms and a great selection of gym equipment.

Sadly there isn’t a “no stars” option. Was told cancelling would be easy for my 1 year contract, if I were to complete my planned move to a new residential location. This eventually happened and I gave notice by email. It took them a month to answer, with them conveniently deciding that their deliberately tardy, lazy and inefficient response would be the start of my 1 month cancellation notice. Consequently they think I should pay them 2 months’ membership. Outrageous, join ANY other gym than Anytime. How’s that for publicity, all for my £36. Well done.

They are a robbers , i try to cancel my membership for 3 months , i call them i speak with them and nothing happened, and thei just still took my money with late fee witch is 12 punds , most expensive ugly and stinky gym witch i ever seen , stay away from this incompetence and robbers

Do yourself a favour aviod this gym/company. Will screw you over when you leave.. Even if your contracts up. Its criminal and they need to be stopped. I am not the only one. It's a shame, it used to be a good gym. I will never return.

Absolutely discusting gym company. I ended my membership because of financial hardship which is allowed but they continued to harrass me so much I had to change my phone number. Even after showing them proof and more proof. They ignored any email I sent but sent texts everyday. When I changed my number they sent a debt letter. I showed the debt company all the proof and will not be paying

Good bunch who work there, all helpful and supportive, gyms kept tidy and always there to answer any questions. Currently paying for 3 memberships so I’m more than happy.

I am giving this gym a five star review as they have donated 2 x 3 months membership vouchers to our raffle that we are holding ti raise money for my daughter dance school no question ask I just sent a message and a letter explaining we were looking for donation and I got an answer straight back excellent service

I am still trying to recover the money Anytime fitness Orpington charged us illegally when they closed it due to Covid. Worst business ethics ever seen !! Avoid this gym !!

Bristol UK branch - taking £ hundreds without notice
I was a member of the Bristol branch, I asked to cancel my membership during lockdown, but was talked into freezing it instead - which was still £5 a month but TBH I wanted to support them during the pandemic. I must admit I forgot about it, and then recently, as the cost of living has started to affect my family's financial wellbeing, I discovered they had been charging me full membership. Their reason being that the freezing was for a limited period. This was not explained to me, and at no point did anyone contact me to tell me that they were upping my charges. Previously they had regularly been in touch about attendance etc - so I can only assume they didn't want to alert me to the fact they were charging me despite not telling me, nor me ever using the gym. I complained, and was told it had been passed on to a manager. 10 days later, nothing.

Current staff are worth their weight in gold – willing to work on solutions to problems they have inherited from previous management, and doing so without complaint and with faultless integrity.
